God's Country Fellowship Church 


The General Board of God's Country Fellowship Church is organized under the Victory New Testament Fellowship International Church Head, and the laws of Colorado as a non profit corporation, and is managed by board members of the highest integrity from three states.

Two board positions are 'open' for Durango area members. The Board is seeking a philanthropist to assist in opening a church facility as the FLC Chapel is no longer a viable option. There are no church facilities in the immediate Rafter J area.

Reverend Nick Federspiel is ordained by several church-heads the most significant being the Victory New Testament Fellowship International ( March 2009.)   Nick's mission project internship was to provide Sunday services at the Fort Lewis College Chapel during the fall and spring terms 2009 - 2010.  Nick is authorized to perform Bible Based sacraments of the church in accordance with Interdenominational Protestant faith and beliefs.


He is a Fort Lewis College graduate 1979, Cum Laude. has been a La Plata county property owner since 1971.  He was one of the original residents of the Rafter J subdivision. Nick was the organizer of the first Rafter J Home Owners Association and Charter member of the then Rafter J Volunteer Fire Department.  He was one of the initial members and commander of Durango's USAF Civil Air Patrol squadron (still in being), and is a USAF veteran.  Nick holds diplomas in Civil and EE Broadcast Engineering, a BBA from FLC, a BA in Religious Philosophy, a Masters and Dr. in Ministry. 

Nick and Kathleen presented services at the McPherson-FLC Campus Chapel during the 2009-2010 terms. But lack of funds and church vs. state politics forced the cancellation starting in September 2010.

Nick and Kathleen are Associate members of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Durango, Colorado. Nick and Kathleen are members in Plano, Texas of Prestonwood Baptist Church and Grace Community Church.  Nick was the 16th charter member of Grace which now serves 2,700 families. Prestonwood serves 27,000 members.


Nick has 60 Bible translations in his research library including Biblical era Hebrew and Aramaic from ancient texts. Nick is the author of a seminary course and book:  Moses and Exodus Ancient Evidence Revealed and Reviewed and The Bible Then and Now (order from lulu.com). Kathleen is the author of Route 66 Through the Bible. [All LuLu.com press.]

Nick and Kathleen have attended St. Marks, Christ the King,  First Southern Baptist and First Baptist churches in Durango and St. Pauls in Mancos.  Nick's wife, Kathleen Federspiel is active in the Durango church community.

Kathleen coordinates wedding schedules, special committees, weddings, baptisms and praiseworthy music.  

 Weddings are performed at the location the blessed participants select.


 

The Ordaining & License Authority and the Church Head is:

Victory New Testament Fellowship International (Since 1953; IRS 501C3)


Order of Service:  The church head authorizes autonomous mission churches that follow accept basic tenets of Protestant Christianity. Principal among them being the Trinity and the resurrection of Jesus Christ offering the hope of salvation for those who learn, believe and endeavor to live moral and righteous lives. 

Sermons and workshops  focus on the true history of the New and Old Testaments and the establishment of the church and do not necessarily revolve around the three year liturgey. 


The Sacraments:


     Baptism (by immersion) is performed as requested for trained adults confirming their faith in 

     Jesus Christ.


     Communion will be performed periodically and is "open table" to all baptized faithful

     attending the service - in accordance with Luke 22:19-20, Mark 16:16, John 14:6-21. 

 

  Weddings can be performed in the FLC chapel or at other "God's Country" locations of choice.
