God's Country Fellowship Church is Interdenominational Protestant. The church enjoys the presence and invites all members of the traditional Christian denominations: Catholic, Anglican, Episcopal, Baptist, Lutheran, etc.
The faithful, respectful and inquiring members of other religions and recognized disciplines are invited to attend activities and services.
All doctrine is Bible based as specified by Victory New Testament Fellowship International – the Church Head. Simply, those things prompted, promoted and inspired by the Biblical scripture IAW the KJV, NKJV and Biblical era Hebrew Tanakh texts are enjoyed, prayed for and accepted and those things prohibited by scripture are not. The church does not restrict parishioners choice of foods, however the church discourages excessive drinking and naturally prays and preaches against violence and vices and prays and will endeavor to help those so afflicted to confess and repent and seek professional support as necessary. The church does not endorse political positions from the pulpit.
The church does not invent new rules or reinterpret scripture to accommodate liberal interpretations, whims or ill supported logic, Gnosticism or pagan rites. The senior pastor is trained for and responsible for such interpretations and his decision is final – there is no avenue or process for appeal or escalation. Those in disagreement are simply free and encouraged to practice their faith and values elsewhere.
Those who may describe themselves as agnostics or atheists who want to understand the concepts and principles of the Christian faith are welcome as we are always available to bring open minds and hearts to God and Christ and we believe we can do so sincerely and competently.
God’s Country Fellowship Church prays for God’s grace for its heterosexual parishioners. The Bible does not endow same sex partnerships. The church is Bible based. However, those momentarily outside of God’s grace on this issue who seek a new light are welcome if we can assist within our faith and training to do so.
The Sacraments:
Communion: Communion is ‘open call’ to all understanding its purpose and meaning and respectful of the sacrament and Jesus Christ. The parishioners partake of bread and wine in ‘remembrance’ of Jesus Christ per scripture Matthew 26:26; Mark 14:22; Luke 22:14 and 1 Corinthians 11:23.
Baptism: A ‘trained’ adult who knows the meaning of and profess their heart and soul is with Jesus Christ our Savior can be baptized by immersion in water per the Gospels and Acts 8:26 – 40.
Marriage: A first Christian marriage between the faithful of the two ‘opposite’ desiring to create new life and follow the Christian path for family leadership of course can be married.
Remarriage of widows and widowers and the legally divorced can be performed; however there is an exception regarding divorce. When the divorce at issue was for reasons due to the applicant’s personal civil illegal activity and or simply motivated by the applicant’s desire to change partners because of some new partnership attraction vs. honoring the vows and obligations under God to the original partnership (unfaithfulness, etc.), the divorce and petition for remarriage neither are sanctioned. The abandoned party may remarry.
Deacons and Deaconesses: The church provides for senior leadership Deacons and Deaconesses. The members of the Board of Directors are deacons and deaconess of God’s Country Fellowship Church. Others may apply when the church is in need and their application will be brought before the board and accepted given no more than one board member declines approval or abstains. Applications are evaluated on a case by case basis. Considerable weight is given to recommendations provided by the applicant’s prior church’s senior pastor and religious education.
Those on any civilian law enforcement watch list, those who cannot be bonded for fiduciary responsibilities and / or pass a local law enforcement background check need not apply. Deacons and Deaconesses need not be ordained but must be contributors, beyond reproach and earn and enjoy the respect of the parishioners so as to be able to serve God and the church well.
Ordination: The local level church does not ordain. Victory New Testament Fellowship International or other recognized ordaining authorities provide this sacrament. The local church senior pastor and or the church may review and accept or reject ordinations from other church heads.
